Sunday School is a vital part of any ministry. In it one is able to experience a deeper knowledge of God’s Word. We here at “Word For Life Says” want to help you help others. Below you will find resources to help you prepare for your upcoming lessons. May God bless you.

March 17, 2013

“Whenever God gives a vision to a Christian, it is as if He puts him in ‘the shadow of His hand,’ (Isaiah 49:2).  The saints duty is to be still and listen.” – Oswald Chambers (My Utmost for His Highest, January 19, Discovery House Publishers, Copyright 1992)

Much like Oswald Chambers stated the “saints duty is to be still and listen.”  This is what we find in today’s lesson.  We are traveling down the road of prophecy with Daniel again.  Often time these visions and dreams can be hard to interpret and understand, better yet, to teach to others.

Below you will find a multitude of activities to use to incorporate into this week’s lesson.  It is my prayer that these activities will prove very useful in trying to get across a lesson that might be hard for some to understand.  God bless you as you continue to strive in your teaching of His Word.

Activities and Crafts:

vs.18 (not in today’s lesson but very important) “I was in a deep sleep” – (below)

I thought a very good idea to go with visions and dreams would be to make a dreamcatcher.  Though we might not use dreamcatchers for their purpose intended, the craft alone is a good reminder to students of the impact of visions and dreams from God.  I have attached a portion of the verses to reinstate the biblical idea of vision and dreams. It is also a good reminder that when God gives these visions, as He did with Daniel, they are true and are to be believed (Dan. 8:26). When printing the dreamcatchers it is best to use cardstock or glue the dreamcatcher to construction paper to give it more stablility.

Here is an example of the one I did:
