“Where have I been? Why are there no posts and updates? Where is the Sunday School lesson?”

My Project 434-001

Dear Friends and Readers,

Many of you may be wondering where is the Sunday School lesson or why you haven’t been receiving posts and updates in your feed or emails.  Here it is, last week I fell really ill with a really nasty stomach virus where I couldn’t keep anything down for a couple of days (not even water) and it got progressively worse until I ended up being ambulanced from an urgent care facility where I sought treatment to the hospital where I had to spend a couple of days. My sodium and potassium levels were low and I had to receive IV fluids to rehydrate my body and medicines to help stop me from being sick again and to bring my levels back up.  Yesterday (Wednesday), afternoon I was cleared for discharge and was finally able to go home. Hooray!

I am doing fine now although I have not yet regained all my energy and such, and am still taking it easy for a bit.  I am still taking one prescription supplement to continue to help bring my potassium levels back up to where they need to be for me to get back to one hundred percent.

As I am regaining my strength I do solicit your prayers.  It wasn’t easy (and it could always be worse), but God is still good and He brought me through and I am ever so grateful for His goodness and mercy in my life.

Our Sunday School lesson this week focuses on “Praying for One Another” and this is so important because we never know what our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ may be going through and when we lift one another up in prayer we are sharing the battle with them.  We really are one spiritual family in Christ Jesus.  And, while I don’t have a prepared lesson this week due to my illness, you will find lesson helps and activities from previous lesson such as “Pray One for Another” and “4 Keys to Powerful Prayer” that could help to enhance your preparation of this week’s lesson.

I am really looking forward to everything getting back to normal or better, in the meantime, I thank God for the opportunity to meet each of you here every week and I give Him all the praise and glory and honor for every blessing and miracle performed in my life.  Every day God is great and greatly to be praised!

Until next time . . .

Blessings to each and every one of you!

  2. This was so appropriate for the lesson this (past) week, Praying for One Another. I read your posts each week when I prepare to teach on Sundays. When your page didn’t pop up as one of the first suggested sites on Google, I went looking for you!! So sorry to hear of your illness and pray that you are recovery quickly!
Just wanted you to know that the members of my Sunday School class at Oak Grove United Methodist Church prayed for you yesterday…as the lesson teaches us… and will continue to pray for your recovery and your wonderful mind to provide such insight to your lessons each week!
    Blessings to you!!

    • Jill, my heart melted when I read your comment. You, as well as many of my others readers and supporters, have made be feel so blessed with your outpouring of love. I am still in awe of God’s goodness through this whole episode. Every day I am getting better and stronger. I am so grateful. I still experience some times of weakness but it is well and is happening less and less. Yesterday, I actually had an opportunity to attend the fair for a time (I had to sit most of the time under an umbrella), but it was fun watching my daughter have a blast with her cousin. My husband was most attentive to my care. Thank you so much for your kind words, prayers and encouragement. Thank your wonderful class for me as well. This week’s lesson is posted. Just another testament to the goodness of God. Many blessings to you!!!!

  3. Bless the name of the Lord. Father God in the name of Jesus, I want to thank you for the gift you have given us of your vessel who has been sending and spreading the word of God to us through this platform. I pray for complete healing for your child, your servant who has been a blessing to others. Let your healing virtue begin. The word of God say that by His stripes we are healed. God bless you and take care of yourself.
    Peace & Blessings

  7. I’m praying for your speedy recovery. I truly missed your Sunday School lessons. Many days, I was unable to thoroughly study like I should but reading you lessons gave me insight to the lesson and also gave me many keep points that I use when I am teaching the adult class. Thank you and God bless you.
