“God, Guide Me Today Prayer” + 10 More Inspirational Quotes and Verses about God’s Leading and Direction

Father God,
Where I go today, I pray it be only in the path You have directed for me.

If I stumble today, I pray it only be into the deep waters of grace You have provided for me.

If I fall today, I pray that it only be into the arms of Jesus where I know I am held and loved.

No matter what comes my way and no matter where You lead me, I pray that my eyes will only be focused on You; my Rock and my Stay. Please, God, guide me today for I don’t know what the day may hold, but I do know that You are holding my day!

“God Heals Broken Hearts!”

My Project 191-001

Every sorrow, hurt, and disappointment God can heal. “He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3.

“Know Real Love!”

“. . . Because the Lord your God loves you,” Deuteronomy 23:5, NKJV

Those last three words, “God loves you,” are a salve for the broken-hearted and for hurting souls everywhere. If nobody else tells you, it’s three little words that God wants you to know, “God loves you.” If nobody else will show you, God said, “I will!”

Human emotions are so fickle. One day we’re up and the next we are down. Depending on which phase of life we are in our perception of reality can be altered by how we feel about the moment we are currently in. If we’re up, then it’s not hard to fathom love coming from everywhere, centering on us and making us feel good about ourselves. But, it is just the opposite when we are experiencing a down-ward phase. We can be living in a whole house full of people, right under the same roof as yourself, and feel completely devoid of love; feeling empty, as you try to hand out to others what you don’t feel coming to you. Love!

Love is nothing to play with. It’s not a joke. It’s a passion that dwells inside each of us hungering to be fed, wanting to be filled. I don’t know anyone in their right mind who doesn’t want to be loved. Who in the world is there that doesn’t want to be cherished by another? Who doesn’t want to feel cherished by another? Who doesn’t want the tender security of love wrapped around them, embracing them until every inch of one’s heart can feel that affectionate overflow?

To deny the need for love is to deny the way God created us. 1 John 4:8, NKJV, says, “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” Love is instilled in each of us as part of His creation. “God is love,” and in the Book of Genesis we read, “Then God said, ‘Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness . . .” (1:26, NKJV). We were made to feel and do as God does, and that means love, also.

“God loves you!” Throughout the pages of the Bible, the overflow of all He feels for us is pronounced over and over again. He has plenty of evidence to mark the extremes of His love for us. Here in Deuteronomy 23:5, He is noted as reversing a curse because He loves His people. But His ultimate show of love came when He initiated His plan to reverse the curse of sin once and for all. The plan was successful but it didn’t come without a price. His love for us cost the life of His Son, John 3:16. All that was done so that one day we might experience the joy of what it really means to be loved; such a tender embrace wrapped around us that can’t be felt anywhere else.

“God loves you!” While human love can and will be fickle, God said, “I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you,” (Jeremiah 31:3, NKJV). There will come a day when “He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love,” (Zephaniah 3:17, NKJV). That’s the tender embrace in action; that strong love that quiets everything else and gives us rest. It’s like stepping into His arms, the arms of love and crying it all out, and feeling nothing but His love. Knowing that God loves us in such a way inspires us for today. When one feels this love, it makes the broken heart feel revived and the hurting soul feel lifted once again. We may not always get the love from humanity that we seek, (and I won’t downplay the need for that), but “God loves you!” Unlike our human counterparts and those we seek affection from; God’s love will not fail us. It’s the real thing!

“Our Status has been Changed!” | Word For Life Says Devotional

In the areas of social media, you have an opportunity to let people know more about you.  You can attach personal details of who you are and who you are associated with to your profile.  One of the ways to do this is by clicking the status button customizing it to your current life situation.  If you are single, married, just got engaged or divorced . . .  Whatever your status, you can let the world know.

A lot of those statuses come by way of change.  Particularly, the change of entering into a new relationship or leaving an old one.  Because of what Jesus did, and because of those who made that decision that they needed Christ as their Savior and accepted Him as their own, now their status in this world has changed.

How awesome is that?!

In our spirit, when we accept Him as our Savior, we clicked the status button and changed who we are or are not associated with.  We let the everyone know that we have left our old relationship with the world and entered into a new one with Jesus.  We put on it blast that the life people used to see in us no longer exists.  We blow up the spiritual timelines with the transformation that has taken place deep down in our souls.

Now there is a special, heavenly bond between God and us.  No longer are we just mere men and women.  Now our status says that through Jesus Christ we have been changed and our position in the world is known as being His child (John 1:12; Galatians 3:26).  Now our profiles read that the condemnation that once hung over our lives has been lifted (Romans 8:1).  Now, we are now free in Him to experience life anew (John 8:36).  Now, we are able to cry out to Him, “Abba, Father” (Galatians 4:6).  Now, we are carriers of His Spirit and He lives in us (1 John 4:13).

In our new relationship with God, our focus is no longer on what has been, but now it is on the promise of what will be.  Our future now looks brighter than our yesterday.  Our outlook on this life is now based on our new status in heaven.   Our hope for a better tomorrow is completely bound up in Him whom I am connected with today!

“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God,” (Romans 8:16) and our status has been changed!

“Greater Is He!” | Word For Life Says Poetry

Greater is He that is in me!

The life inside that I cannot see.

Only feel with the passion and the burn

Love from the cross that flows unearned.

Glowing embers His spirit unfolds.

Power inside of stories untold!

Ripping away all the fear and frights;

Layering on His love’s holy light.

The life inside has been swept and cleaned

By the Master who defeats enemies unseen.

Foes tremble, their strength can’t compare,

‘Cause greater is He now resides there.

“Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world,” 1 John 4:4

“What will our story tell?” | Word For Life Says

I have often wondered about the Bible and the characters whose lives are portrayed within its pages.  More often than not, I believe most of those lives didn’t know that their choices and actions and their everyday occurrences would be forever etched in that holy book.  They didn’t know their story would be referenced for thousands of years sharing with generations the do’s and don’t’s of life, dealing with others, and our relationship with God.  If they had known, would some have made better choices?  Would the outcome of certain lives look different than what those holy pages tell?

Our future is written already at the end of that holy book, the Bible.  Whether one chooses to follow God’s ways or not, the story is already shown how it will end.  But, can we let our imaginations roam a bit.  What if God was writing a story right now and the characters written in it are you and me?  How would our chapters read?  What will our story tell?  Will we be conquerors of faith or sitters on the sidelines?  Will our lives tell the story of being victorious for Him or did we follow the masses down the path of wrong choices?

What if we choose to live our lives like a story is being written as we speak?

There is not a new Bible being written, but everything we say and do is.  One day, there will be a book opened and in its pages, our lives come to life (see Revelation 20:12).  Our story will be read.  The chronicles of our being and time here on earth will be studied and judged for where we will spend eternity.

What will our story tell?

We all have the power to determine how our story will end through the life we live today.  Make your story a good one.  Let the pages thereof ring true of the epic adventures you and God went through together, coming out on the other side in victory!
