“Power Belongs to God!”

ARE YOU FEELING DEFLATED AS THIS NEW WEEK STARTS? ARE YOU FEELING LIKE IT’S OFF TO A BAD START? LET IT GO!!! Right now, make it up in your mind that you ARE NOT going to try to do this on your own! That you ARE NOT going to operate in your own power! Rather, you are going to put it all in the hands of God and allow Him to take control of it all because “POWER BELONGS TO GOD!”

Father God, in your hands we commit every worry, every fear and every trouble. Father God, we lean and depend on Your grace and mercy to bring us through. We thank You for all that You have already done and continue to do in each and every one of our lives. We know that You see all and know all. Help us to rest in You. Give us that peace which surpasses all understanding as we hold on to You and Your word and Your hope for this day and this week. Thank You that You love us enough to hear our prayers and it’s in Your hands we leave them. Thank You for being our all in all. In Jesus’ name we pray – AMEN!!!

“This is the CHRIST!”

“Other’s said, This is the Christ.  But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee? ” John 7:41

When it comes to Jesus everyone will experience one of three responses: you believe, you don’t believe or you don’t know what to believe.  Jesus had that effect on people.  He would do things (miracles) that utterly dumbfounded people.  He would say things like, “If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink,” (John 7:37), that would take people totally off guard and they couldn’t help but be amazed by the words that came from His mouth.  Yet, there are those who deride who He says He is and they say, “Shall Christ come out of Galilee?” (John 7:41).  These types look for reasons not to believe.

It is an awesome thing to be fully persuaded in one’s own heart that “This is the Christ!”  Many in the crowd that Jesus was speaking to on that day were divided.  They were not only divided with one another, but they were perplexed within themselves about the man who stood before them teaching with such authority.  They heard and saw but still wrestled in their heart to believe.  Yet, in the division, there were some who knew, who felt the truth within them that “This is the Christ!”

Commotions, dissensions and disagreements, they will always exist as long as this world does.  But, for those whose hearts are grounded in the truth, they can boldly declare, “This is the Christ!”

How often has someone come against your faith?  How many times have you been ridiculed for what you believe in?  If not verbally, but in the way others treat you because of your hope in Him?  One’s faith is at the core of the declaration of Christ for oneself.  If the faith is real, it will keep him/her rested in their Savior despite the contentions around.  Yet, if it is but a surface faith when the hardness of life approaches it will wither under the pressure of adversity.

“This is the Christ!”  The soul that can still declare that is a soul happy before his/her Lord.  The soul that cleaves to the truth of these words is the soul that won’t soon be moved.  The soul that rests in that wonderful truth is the soul that will find peace eternal no matter the failing of others who don’t recognize Him for who He is.

“This is the Christ!”  That’s who He was then and that’s who He remains to be today.  Keep your hope anchored in that truth and no matter what else may be going on in your life, your faith in who He is will see you through.  Be blessed in this wonderful truth today!

“He knows my name!”

It doesn’t matter how anybody has treated you today or even if they have made you feel like a complete nothing: Jesus knows your name! To Him, you are a somebody. To Him, you are valued. To Him you are important. To Him, you are not invisible. He knows you. He knows your name. How wonderful is that? We serve a personal God! Hallelujah! ” . . . the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, . . .” John 10:3.

“The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous…”

God is paying attention to your needs, your cares and concerns. He is watching and listening just for you; for your voice to call out to Him. We have this confidence for His word says, “The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their cry,” Psalms. 34:15.

“God Made a Way!”

Dear Friends, God made a way for you and He made a way for me.  A pathway that was once littered with sin and debris from our human nature and wrong choices has become clear and access has been opened for every heart that truly seeks and longs for Him.

Imagine, before His holy throne, God made a way for there to be a space just for you to come to pray and worship.  There is no longer a need for you to carry burdens alone.  There is no longer a need to second guess the this or that’s of life.  He gave us an offer of Himself to approach Him and to come before His presence with it all: “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need,” (Hebrews 4:16).

God made a way through the life and death of our Lord Jesus Christ.  To the life that will turn their heart and soul over to Him, He made a way.  “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me,” (John 14:6).  He is our access key.  He is the one who paved the pathway for us in righteousness and through His blood provided a space for us in His heavenly realm.  If we are His and have turned to Him, there is a place with your name on it in heaven.  A place waiting and wanting to be filled by you, but you must come through Jesus Christ only.

He made a way for us to experience His presence even while still on this old earth we call our current home.  To those who are His, they are supplied with His Spirit.  “And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you,” (John 14:16-17; emphasis mine).  His Spirit leads us and guides into all truth (John 16:13).  His Spirit is our Comforter through this life we walk (John 14:18; 15:26).  He is with us today because Jesus made a way!

Friends, through it all, God made a way for us to approach Him and to be close to Him in our daily walk and life.  Don’t neglect the chance to draw near and to know Him as your own.  He promised when we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us (James 4:8).  There are no excuses for not being where He is today.  God already made a way!

A Message of Peace:

Dear Friends, if you are trying to push through your day today with a troubled heart, I pray that God’s peace would overshadow all the trouble you are feeling. Jesus often spoke of peace; when He calmed the storms and when He appeared after His resurrection. Peace is something that many search for, but it can only truly be found in Him. Peace is something God wants us to experience, so I pray that your sorrows will melt away and dissolve in His peace today. That all your hurts of a troubled heart will disappear into His grace.  I pray for God’s mercy to fill the gaps each of us need filling.  I pray for peace in your home and out.  I pray for peace in your coming and your going.  I pray that in the midst of everything, God would send a revelation of peace just for you.  In the name of Jesus Christ, AMEN!

“If God so clothe the grass of the field…”

Why do we let the worries of this life bog us down so? If He takes care of the grass, fields, and sparrows then He will take care of us. Our worth to Him is so much more than anything else He created. You and I are very valuable to God. He sees what we are going through and He knows and He’s got this.
