The Sacred Space

Daily, the door is opened to us. Every day, we receive an invitation to enter. Daily is our opportunity to draw near to the sacred space.

Coming before the presence of God used to be an act reserved only for a select few at select times. But once the veil was torn (Matthew 27:51), it opened the passageway for any seeking heart to find their joy, treasure, hope, and consolation at the foot of the throne (Hebrews 4:16).

What keeps you from coming? Has doubt spoken to your heart? One man’s honest confession spoke out of the desperation of his heart, saying, “Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief” (Mark 9:24).

The Word tells us, “So Jesus answered and said to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain,’ “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive'” (Matthew 21:21-22, NKJV).

So He says, “And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me” (Psalm 50:15).

Has fear told you a lie? The psalmist said, What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me” (Psalm 56:3-4).

The Word tells us, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness” (Isaiah 41:10).

Or, is it that you do not know what to say? The Father is not looking for some sort of church lingo or eloquence of speech. He’s looking for hearts that would speak. Therefore, my friend, just let your heart articulate what you fear your words may miss.

The sacred space is a safe place to lay down your burdens and have your heart lifted by Him who knows all about them and holds all the answers in the palm of His hand.

Do yourself a favor: do not bypass the sacred space today. Enter your prayer closet, no matter what that looks like. It will fill your life and soul with more than you could ever imagine.

“But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.” (Matthew 6:6, 9-13)

Blessings~
