“Do Your Best!”

Too many are looking for blessings without putting their best foot forward. Thomas Edison said, “Opportunity is missed by most people because it comes dressed in overalls and looks like work.”

God honors the diligence of those who work to put their best foot forward. The Bible says, “Whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the LORD, and not unto members,” Colossians 3:23. Get in there and do your best and the best will come back to you!

I was reading in Matthew 25 this morning and came across the parable of the talents. Some were productive and some not. The ones that were the master blessed with even more. The one that wasn’t lost everything.

We only get out of this life what we put into it. “But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully,” (2 Corinthians 9:6). I believe this principle applies with every area of our lives.
