Stepping into the sacred. Moses found at one cannot tread the presence of God with a heavy foot. Lightly and gingerly, with reverence, one must approach with a surrendered heart.
God has since, through our Lord Jesus Christ, come to dwell in the recesses of the believing. To live inside him/her that were created in His image and are now filled with His Spirit. How then do we care for those courts where His presence resides? Are the members being yielded to sin or are they carefully following the path of His leading; preserving the holy and persevering for the right? Where ever He is, it is holy ground.
Let not the days go in a blur that we forget the treasure we now hold inside. Radiating from our inner most being we, who are called by His name, should feel His unction and pulling, urging us toward the right. He, through His love, pleads for us to not carry His sacred assembly to places of spiritual danger, toil, and sin.
Mark the value in you. Raise it up as a standard to keep oneself in the midst of His delight; in the joy of His salvation, bearing about in you the body of our Lord. The holy ground inside you screams to be cherished and protected. There is sacredness in where He now dwells.
“And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.” Exodus 3:5
“Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.” 1 Corinthians 3:16-17
