“…we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.” Micah 4:5
Is it God whom we are living for daily? Daily have we laid ourselves down to lift His name? We, who are carriers of the name of the LORD our God and our Lord Jesus Christ, do we operate our lives in a way that is befitting that holy Name? Is our living bringing honor to His name?
Those of the world have no problem attaching themselves to the ways of the world. Is our life bearing fruit that is evident of our holy attachment? Have we truly set ourselves apart as His people?
Living for God means it is His ways and not my own I seek to fulfill in my life. My honor is to bring Him honor. My glory is to glorify Him in my thinking, my being, my doing, and my speaking.
How great You are, O God, and let me greatly praise Your name through this life You have privileged me to live.
Everyone and everything of the world will eventually pass away and be nothing. But, for those who live for God, “We will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever” (Micah 4:5).
“For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.” – Romans 14:8
“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.” – Matthew 22:37
“For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.” – Acts 17:28
“…choose you this day whom ye will serve… but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” – Joshua 24:15
“And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again” (2 Corinthians 5:15). Jesus died for us that we may live for Him.
