David would have understood this well, having been chased through the desert. I love the story of David and how through the Psalms his story is essentially prayed through. It brings passages like this to life, in my opinion.
Yes, it really does. I think too many take the Bible as just a book, when in fact in it is life, instruction, encouragement . . . everything we need. The lives and passages are so inspiring. It’s a great treasure and source that many take for granted.
You are right. I spend a lot of energy encouraging people to read their Bibles because the answer to the issue or question they are thinking about is there. It is so great when they take my advice!
